VARIO signs the open letter ‘A call to strengthen research and innovation in Europe’

VARIO has joined other European organizations for research and higher education in the Research Matters campaign and has co-signed the open letter ‘A call to strengthen research and innovation in Europe.’ The open letter calls for 1) increased funding for R&I in Europe to more than 3% of GDP within the European Union and in all European countries; 2) a doubling of the budget for the next EU research and innovation program (FP10) to 200 billion euros, and 3) protection of the latter by ring-fencing the budget.
