VARIO at the STI councils meeting in Vilnius

On May 16^th and 17h, VARIO director Danelle Raspoet took part in the spring meeting of the European Science and Innovation Councils (STI councils) in Vilnius (Lithuania). The STI councils meet twice a year to discuss common points of interest, to share their operation and to exchange good practices. The central topic of this meeting was R&D assessment. Advisory councils from eleven countries participated. Reda Cimmperman, from the Research Council of Lithuania and since recently Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures, hosted. A joint statement was also finalised in Vilnius on the importance of European and national policies to attract non-European STEM talent to Europe. VARIO took the initiative for this, together with its fellow Dutch council, the AWTI. You will soon hear more about this statement.
